V&V 2008 GRAN CANARIALas Palmas de Gran Canaria - december from 11th to 14th The aeromodelling club Tamarán and the Canary Federation of air sports (FECDA) have organized for the seventh consecutive year the V&V 2008, an event in which every year we put much effort so that you come to Gran Canaria to compete and of course to enjoy practising what you like most… the aeromodelling. In adition to these valid competitions for the national Spanish selection, we have more activities in which you can take part in them, if you think that you do not have the necessary level of skil to participate in the F2B-FAI events that we organize. We have thought of organizing ADVANCED and BEGINNER aerobatics, also combat and team racing competition. This year is OPEN INTERNATIONAL FAI -F2B

EVENTS AND RULES
F2B-AEROBATICS: FAI rules CLICK TO SEE MANEUVER. ADVANCED-AEROBATICS: all FAI except squares maneuver. CLICK TO SEE MANEUVER. BASIC-AEROBTICS: a very simple rules and maneuver. CLICK TO SEE MANEUVER. Silencers are obligatory for all aerobatics aeroplanes. (85 db to 3 meters) Maximum length of lines will be 21 meters. ( 70 ft) FOR ALL V&V 2007 trials, the glow fuel and diesel is provided by the organization we will have commercial fuel Model Technics “duraglo” to 5% nitrometane, 6% castor oil, 9% EDL syntetic. If you are going to use DIESEL engines, to 22% castor, 33% diethil ether, 1,8 amylnitrate and 43,2% Kerosene.
L We recommend that you dismantle your aerobatics and indoor models to avoid damage during the journey by plane. Or you can order tu us a Brodak RTF airplane and tank. We can assembly the model for you.
COMBAT 15 speed limit: ONE model by combat. Motor 3,5cc (.20) Diesel Obligatory propeller, lines lenght 15,92 m. and .038 mm minimum diameter. Obligatory helmet for pilot and mechanic. Limited speed 3,5 sec./lap with streamer Limited sound at 85 db to 3 meters. 200 points bonusper combat if clean combat (not twist lines with crash, not air crashes) 100 points each streap cut, only is valid cut the streap (not . 4 combats and total sume of points.
TEAM RACING 15: Motor up to .20 (3,5cc). Commercially available nyon propeller. Silencer is obligatory. Limited sound at 85 db to 3 mts. Obligatory helmet for mechanic. Racing profil model. Minimum thick wing 8 mm center and 5 mm wing tip. Two wheels Lines lenght 15,92 meters y 0.30 mm minimum diameter. All trials and finals 100 laps. final 200 laps Diesel fuel will be provided by the organisation; 22% castor oil, 33% Dyethil ether, 1,8% Ethylnitrate y 43,2% Kerosene.

LODGING AND REGISTRATIONS
Lodging has been predicted, in an ANTIQUE CONVENT vith a very comfortable rooms for 6 people, at the rate is including in inscription. The restrooms and baht are outside of the room.The apartaments are situated at the center of the old city named VEGUETA. Is a very good located zone near to the best restaurants and museums. The lodging offered will be DECEMBER 12th,13th,14th,15th,16th. contact with us if you need more days.
If you are coming alone, we
offer to you one or two days more
and we can get a room mate for you an then it
would be chaper for you. There are also hotels of *** and **** from

SENIORS
AN
This price includes lodging for 5 days, relocation expenses from lodging, airport and flying areas, farewell banquet, fuel and other activities. JUNIORS

The payment of the registrations with accommodation must be made before
October 31th.
The
registrations with accommodation made after this date will be increased
with a 50%. The jurney from the airport to the hotel will be done by the staff of the organization. The arrivals during the night will not be done by the organisation. You should get your plane tickets as soon as possible and on arrival to the airport of Gran Canaria before midnight 12 p.m.
ADVICE
Don´t
bring model fuel on the plane. It is forbidden. We will supply you
with fuel for the trainings and competitions.
We
recommend that you dismantle your
aerobatics and indoor models to avoid damage during the journey by plane.
You
can get good prices tickets if you book them in advance. The flight from
Madrid lasts two hours. There are direct flights to Gran Canaria from
almost every European capital and also from other countries in the world.
You can also come by ship from Cádiz. The crossing is a two days journey.
