Aeromodelling club Tamarán and the Canary Islands Federation of air sports (FECDA) have organized for the 23 th consecutive year, V&V 2023, an event in which every year we put in a great effort so that you can come to Gran Canaria to compete and of course to enjoy practising what you like most, aeromodelling. In addition to these competitions which are valid for the national Spanish selection, we have more activities in which you can take part, if you think that you do not have the necessary level of skill to participate in the aerobatics events that we organize. We have OLD TIME STUNT, BEGINNER aerobatics and also EURO-COMBAT (F2E speed limit)

OLD TIME STUNT (OTS) AEROBATICS see patern
Silencers are obligatory for all aerobatics aeroplanes. (90 db to 3 meters)
Diesel engines can be work without silencers.
Maximum length of lines will be 20 meters. ( 66 ft)
We recomend two piece models are best for travelling.
F2E - EURO COMBAT
ONLY ONE model per combat. Motor 2,5cc (.15) Diesel or glow. Also 3,2cc (.19) engines can be used.
YOU CAN USE YOUR VINTAGE 3,2cc (.19) or OLIVER COMBAT 2.5cc (.15) model (but with speed limit is 3,3 sec/lap WITH STREAMERpeewith s,5 sec/lap)
YOU CAN USE YOUR F2E COMBAT models with 8x6 propeller but with speed limit is 3,3 sec/lap WITH STREAMER
Obligatory nylon, wood or fiber propeller, line length 15,92 m. and .038 mm minimum diameter. Mandatory helmet for pilot and mechanics.
TWO MECHANICS ARE ALLOWED (2016 rules)
Limited speed 3,3 sec./lap WITH STREAMER for all models and engines. Time keepers will time for 2 laps, if the time is below of 6,6 seconds, then pilot must landing and re-set the engine.
Mandatory Limited sound at 92 db to 3 meter for Glow engines. MUFFLER IS MANDATORY FOR GLOW
For diesel engines is not necessary to use a muffler or sound restrictions.
Scoring is as per UK Vintage combat
Rest similar to FAI RULES for combat. Will be communicated by the judges during Pilots Briefing
COMBAT MODELS
Combat models can be provided by the organization. Models are F2E Alex Yuvenko with diesel tank. Also we can provide cables, handles, etc. Contact with us for details. Because we have only limited units of models, please reserve model, lines, handles as soon as possible. )
THIS YEAR WE CAN PROVIDE A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF COMBAT MODELS, CABLES OR HANDLES DUE AT WAR IN UKRAINE,
FUEL
Fuel necessary during the competition, glow and diesel fuel can be provided by the organisation. GLOW FUEL is 5% nitrometane, 15% mix castor and synthetic. If you are going to use DIESEL engines, fuel mix is 18% castor, 30% diethyl ether, 52% Kerosene and added 18 ml of 2EHN.
Training days fuel can be provided by us. Please contact us ASAP to pre-order your fuel.
IMPORTANT, please bring your own empty canIster for fuel.
WORKSHOP
We have prepared a workshop room with all the necessary items to assemble, set up and repair your models; Iron, balsa, mylar, glow adhesive tape, glue, soldering, etc.
LODGING AND REGISTRATIONS
WE RECOMMEND RENT A HOUSE through airbnb or similar platform. If you want he lodging closer to Flying site, then might be in LAS PALMAS Gran Canaria (capital of island). Instead if you will enjoy extra days of hollidays in the island you can reserve hotel in the south of island; Playa del Ingles, Playa de Maspalomas, Meloneras, Mogan, etc.
There are hotels of *** and **** from 85 € approx (double room). fully recomended by the organisation is http://www.hparque.com/ you can book directly with the hotel. This hotel is located near to shopping and restaurant areas.
Continental breakfast included in the price.
Other cheap alternative is Hostel Alcaravaneras It´s a nice Hostel in front to Alcaravaneras beach and very well conected to principal auto way. Price is about 35 € for double room with bathroom inside room. You can made reservations throught any booking inernet website as www.booking.com

Registration NOT include:
Cost of fuel for training and compettion is 20 € for diesel and 10 € for glow fuel.
SATURDAY DINNER COMPANIONS. 10 euro/person and 5 euro childs.
LUNCH SUNDAY 10 euro/person and 5 euro childs.

This price includes lodging for 4 days and farewell banquet.
IMPORTANT:
The journey from the airport to the hotel will be done by the staff of the organization. The arrivals during the night will not be done by the organisation. You should get your plane tickets as soon as possible and on arrival to the airport of Gran Canaria before midnight 11 p.m.
ADVICE
Don't bring model fuel on the plane. It is forbidden. We will supply you with fuel for the trainings and competitions.
You can get good prices tickets if you book them in advance. The flight from Madrid lasts two hours. There are direct flights to Gran Canaria from almost every European capital and also from other countries in the world. You can also come by ship from Cadiz (Spain continent). The crossing is a two days journey.
Don't forget your swimming costume and your camera….in december we have a medium temperature about 20ºC...!!!
